A sculpture of light and glass. Ronan Bouroullec returns to the essence of materials with this piece. It features a cylinder of hand-blown glass that encapsulates the light source, creating a fixture that is both rugged and refined, celebrating the artisanal imperfections of glass.

It departs from the traditional point source, diffusing light across a wide, geometric microstructure that feels both structured and beautifully unpredictable, bringing large walls and ceilings to life.

The identity of Nocturne is defined by the visual contrast between the ethereal refinement of glass and the overtly industrial appearance of the track-mounted technical component, resulting in a sophisticated design with a distinct character. The floor version is built around a structural, low-voltage electrified profile. The miniaturization of every component accentuates the material and stylistic contrast between the handcrafted quality of the glass and the industrial expression of the upright.

Designed by P. Aragay and J. Pérez Mateo, Lauro was first released in 1973 and is now being reissued. A resounding object that reclaims the past and evokes emotions, featuring a steel stem and a methacrylate shade available in translucent opal or two-layer black.
