A complete paradigm shift for contemporary architecture, The Glowing Track by FLOS Architectural is a versatile, modular lighting system that flips the concept of track lighting on its head. Instead of a dark structural rail that merely holds spotlights, the track itself glows.
It delivers immersive, homogeneous ambient lighting while simultaneously serving as the power and mounting infrastructure for an array of high-performance accent modules.

A System Designed for Any Context
Whether you are designing a high-ceilinged commercial lobby in the CBD or an intimate luxury residence, The Glowing Track is engineered for maximum flexibility. The profile pairs the functionality of a concealed track with refined lateral light distribution, softening shadows by design.
To accommodate different spatial constraints, the system is divided into two primary installation methods that share the exact same aesthetic and ecosystem of accessories: Surface and Suspension.
Surface Installation: Ideal for typical Singaporean residential ceilings or spaces where maintaining maximum headroom is crucial. It mounts flush against the ceiling, providing a seamless line of light.
Suspension Installation: Perfect for dramatic, high-ceilinged spaces. It drops the luminous "block of ice" into the room, creating an immersive, floating architectural element.
Both profiles come in three standard lengths (1200mm, 1800mm, and 2400mm) with a remarkably slim diameter of just 47mm.
Vertical Installation: Redefining the Axis

Why limit light to the horizontal plane? The Glowing Track can be installed vertically, dropping as a ceiling-suspended lighting column. This configuration plays with height and depth, turning the fixture into an immersive, structural totem that opens up endless possibilities for lobbies, stairwells, and transition spaces.
Spotlight Solutions: Invisible Integration
Alongside diffused, atmospheric light, The Glowing Track accommodates a family of highly specialized, miniaturized projectors. These accent modules can be fully recessed into the track, maintaining a clean, uniform aesthetic without interrupting the line of light.
At Illum-Tec, we regularly specify these modules to highlight specific artworks, dining tables, or retail displays while the track itself handles the ambient wash.
Designed with the distinctive flair of Piero Lissoni, Atom is also featured in the system as a series of spotlights in two different sizes, ideal for accent lighting. It introduces a bold, minimalistic geometry that flawlessly complements the sleek lines of the track.
Finishes That Elevate the Space

The Glowing Track is available in an exclusive, high-quality palette designed to integrate seamlessly into high-end interiors:
- White: For a pure, architectural integration.
- Black: For stark, graphic contrast.
- Bronze & Steel: For quiet sophistication and luxurious materiality.
Total Control with Casambi
Light is only as good as the control you have over it. The Glowing Track features three independent circuits, allowing you to separate the ambient glow of the track from the focused beams of the spotlights.
As a Certified Casambi Commissioning Partner (4C), Illum-Tec integrates The Glowing Track directly into wireless smart home and commercial networks.
- Without Casambi: You would need complex, multi-core wiring runs to control the ambient track and the spotlights separately.
- With Casambi: We configure the drivers so you can dim the track to a whisper and brighten the spotlights on a specific artwork, all controlled via a smartphone app or a wireless Bluetooth switch on the wall. No extra hacking or wiring required.
