A UFO in the dining room. Designed in 1978, Frisbi is a masterclass in reflected light. A hole in the center of the reflector allows a direct beam to hit the table, while the opal diffuser plate catches the spill light, creating a soft, floating ring of illumination overhead.

A bulb on a reel. Designed in 1972, Lampadina is a celebration of the light bulb. The base mimics a film reel, allowing excess cable to be stored, while the bulb itself is partially frosted to prevent glare. Simple, witty, and undeniably Castiglioni.

Genius in friction. Released in 1971, Parentesi is a masterclass in minimalist engineering. A simple bent tube slides along a steel cable, held in place only by friction. It allows the light to be moved up, down, and rotated 360 degrees—a flexible spotlight that needs no complex mechanisms.

A pillar of light. Stylos is a simple, effective cylinder that lights up the entire column. With dual switching for the top and bottom sources, it creates a vertical gradient of light that acts as an architectural marker in the space.

The geometry of brilliance. Taraxacum 88 is a stunning geodesic sphere composed of polished aluminum triangles and 60 exposed bulbs. It is a celebration of the light bulb itself, creating a sparkling, multifaceted centerpiece that dominates the space with its brilliance.

A crystal formation on the wall. This surface-mounted version of the Taraxacum 88 uses the same polished triangles and exposed bulbs to create a sculptural, geometric explosion of light. It transforms a blank wall into a glittering focal point.
