The Story
Jaume Ramírez is a designer who deconstructs to create. After years in the Basque Country, he returned to Barcelona in 2019—the same year he quit smoking—to establish a studio focused on questioning archetypes. His work for Marset is delightfully raw: 'Milana' reduces the pendant to a system of counterweights, while 'Fragile' rebuilds the table lamp in glass to reveal its naked structure. He designs objects that are honest, kinetic, and full of personality.

A glass archetype. Fragile celebrates the table lamp form using glass to reveal its structure. A cone, a sphere, and a cylinder compose a geometric totem that emits ambient light. It synthesizes the past (oil lamps) with the present, using the delicacy of glass to express the fragility of the moment.
Milana

Deconstructing the archetype. Milana strips the lamp down to a cylindrical body with a built-in LED. To this, different conical shades can be added. But its genius lies in the counterweight system, allowing the lamp to be moved vertically and horizontally. It is a modular system that gives the user total control over the position of light.
