The Story
Mashallah is an interdisciplinary studio in Berlin fascinated by the poetry of technology. Hande Akçayli and Murat Koçyigit sculpt solely in software, then bring those digital forms to life. Collaborating with Xavier Mañosa, they helped create the digitally-creased forms of the 'Pleat Box' and 'Scotch Club', merging coding with clay.

Pleat Box

Digital fabric, frozen in ceramic. Pleat Box applies a digitally designed crease to malleable clay. The result is a ceramic pendant that feels like fabric. With brilliant white or 24k gold interiors, it creates a warm, textured light. It is a fusion of digital design and traditional craftsmanship.
Scotch Club Ceiling

Ceramic facets. Inspired by the disco ball, the Scotch Club is a ceramic sculpture fired four times to achieve its perfect finish. As a ceiling lamp, its faceted interior—available in brilliant white or 24-carat liquid gold—reflects light in multiple directions, creating a warm, sparkling glow that contrasts with the solid ceramic shell.

Ceramic geometry. The Scotch Club takes the faceted shape of a disco ball and renders it in kiln-fired ceramic. The contrast between the matte exterior and the brilliant white or gold interior creates a sparkling, warm light. It creates a geometric sculpture that feels both modern and artisanal.
